INDI AND THE VEGAS
Queen meets Prince and jams through the Jackson 5's greatest hits!
An adequate description of the U.K’s most original band, Indi and The Vegas are taking their local scene by storm and continue to edge outwards with their universal pop/funk appeal
Discovered by Midge Ure whilst playing the live circuit in Bristol and Bath, Indi subsequently worked with producer Sam Williams (Supergrass, Plan B) and session drummer Clive Deamer (Radiohead, Portishead) to create his first solo album, “Silverscreens”.
He has supported Dina Carroll, Wallis Bird, Willy Mason and many others as a solo act, but to create a powerful yet uncluttered live show, Indi enlisted band mates Joe and Matt to form Indi and The Vegas, an old school 3 piece set up that they have maintained to this day
Their first EP, “Fair Fight” consisted of five tracks, mixed and recorded by talented London based producer Nick Rundall (The Noise Deli/Bad Science Records) and they followed up with their debut album, self penned, produced and titled, in the summer of 2014 to great acclaim from fans and industry alike
The records have had plays from BBC introducing and have led to storming sets at Rhythms of The World, Balstock, Goatfest, saw them become Pub of The Year The Horn St Albans Battle of The Bands winners, and receive a Standon Calling invitation
In October 2015, Indi and The Vegas embarked on a tour of Los Angeles, playing many prestigious venues including The Whisky A GoGo and The Viper Lounge, Hollywood Boulevard and performing with and for Grammy Award winning musicians
2016 started with a bang for the band, being signed as the house band for Hitchin's The Hermitage, enabling the trio to try new material whenever they please and keep it close to home in their very own Cavern Club
